Welcome
Elizabeth (Libby) Williams is a student, an avid and passionate writer and an animal agriculture enthusiast. Williams will graduate in December of 2011 with two degrees: Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Science and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Technical Journalism. With background in both journalism and agriculture, Williams continues to pursue her dreams of a communications career with a livestock organization, publication, or national livestock show.
Internships have helped Williams to realize her dreams. She’s been an intern for AgCareers.com participating in Public Relations on CSU’s campus, she’s been the Communications and PR intern and assistant for the National Western Stock Show in Denver, and was National Swine Registry's Marketing and Communication intern during the summer of 2011. Williams also spent a semester abroad, attending The University of Leicester in Leicester, England, where she was able to attend livestock shows and understand the livestock show industry in the United Kingdom. She has a versatile background, working with people and livestock, both independently and together. Her skills include: advanced writing in multiple styles (news, magazine, essay, etc.), ability to convey technical and scientific information to a variety of audiences, great interpersonal communication skills, photojournalism work, design skills, and competency in specific software (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite).
The basis of this website is to display Williams’ work and skills in different areas of journalism and her ability to interpret and use those journalistic skills within an agricultural realm.
